Last year our fundraising events realised over £24,000 from Multinational companies, Aviva, Marks & Spencer, Tesco and our mainstay Waitrose, Clubs and organisations in Sandhurst, private donations including legacies from our ex-members and revenue generated by the Day Centre itself. Including “Friends of Sandhurst Day Centre” who contribute a fixed sum on a monthly basis on Standing Order and members of The 100 Club. Over the last 18 months we have had a Curry Lunch, Quiz. Afternoon Tea courtesy of Mr & Mrs Ron Carter in their beautiful garden, a Table Top Sale plus a Fun Day on the Park July 2017. With the help of AVIVA we were lucky enough to receive an award of nearly £10,000 from their Community Involvement Scheme Project to re-furbish the dining room once it had been redecorated. Not just to beautify the place but to do necessary remedial and essential repairs.
Sandhurst is a marvellous place to live and work and the people who live here are generous and warm hearted and have helped us in many different ways to make money.
